Avoid plastic/ polystyrene plates and cups. Use paper or bamboo instead 

 

Avoid plastic Knifes, forks and spoons. again use bamboo or metal

Try not to use plastic straws for drinks but if you do prefer them, again use paper or metal 

​

serve children their food rather than let them help them selves as children will always take more than they will eat. This will reduce food waste.

serve squash from a jug rather than individual cartons/ single use plastic bottle drinks such as fruit shoots, Capri sun or similar. 

​

Use eco balloons, made from natural rubber and or biodegradable rather than plastic/ foil balloons.

Supply eco party bags with recyclable items, reusable gifts, plant growing kits, 

​

Wrap birthday cake up in paper/bamboo napkins or use paper/cardboard box rather than plastic boxes.

Think about renting/hiring or borrowing room decorations and props rather than buying if they are only going to be used once and thrown away. 

 

 Avoid plastic tables cloths, either don't use at all but this is not always possible so use reusable clothes, paper/ bamboo.
